Activity Description

Hike on mount Parnassos, about 2 hours drive from Athens and discover a 11th century monastery built on a gorge by Crusaders returning from Jerusalem after the 2nd Crusade, called the Holy Jerusalem.
Situated in a small cave amid Greek nature and magnificent views, the monastery is worth the long uphill. While returning, the path goes deep into the gorge, crosses a suspension bridge and then leads to forests of fir trees in the slopes of the mountain.
At the end of this hiking adventure, your guide will take you to a local taverna to relax and energise before your return back to Athens.

Note:  Equipment required: Backpack, shoes suitable for trekking or sports, warm jacket, fleece jumper, long trousers, warm cap/hat, water, snacks, extra clothes in case of bad weather and rain. Itineraries may be subject to minor changes depending on weather conditions.
