Activity Description

This easy, family-friendly tour is an alternative, active and fun way to experience Pelion's natural beauties and make memories of a lifetime! Your local tour leader will help you discover the local community, life and history of the area, through stories from the region's rich mythology.
You’ll meet with your tour leader at the outskirts of the village “Zagora” and will then transfer to the starting point of the tour on a private vehicle. During this 15-minute drive you’ll be briefed about the tour. The hike will begin high on the mountain. You’ll be walking on a forest road which is surrounded by beech trees. After a bit of walking, you wll start to descend on a footpath that is surrounded by lush forested area. In the middle of the hike, you will stop and enjoy the first break around a small magical waterfall — hear the calming sounds and be relaxed. After your break, you will keep descending until you reach a hidden natural pond — this is where you'll spend your second break. If you find the courage you can even take a dip in the freezing waters! After relaxation you will continue your hike towards the starting point through paths surrounded by apple fields and chestnut trees.

Note: It is required to wear suitable walking shoes, no sandals or flip-flops. We recommend walking boots, sports shoes or closed-toe shoes with non slippery soles. Long trousers are always recommended for hiking, although you are free to make your own choices, just dress accordingly to weather conditions. We recommend you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, hats, extra bottles of water, snacks, and of course swimming suits and towels if you plan to give it a try at the natural pond! Respect nature and the environment around you, do not throw trash and keep it clean.
