Combine great beach time with a private cooking class and delicious local food through this unique travel experience in Chania on a luxury boat; a fantastic private experience from Chania ideal for groups of friends and large families! 

Activity Description

10 AM Guests will be welcomed on board and be toured around the boat premises. Then departure from the old port of Chania to the island of Agioi Theodoroi (Thodorou). On this excursion, the route will be near the coast in order for guests to see the beaches of the gulf of Chania.

10:30 -11:30 AM First stop on the island of Thodorou. Guests will have time to enjoy the sea, meet the unique inhabitants of the island the 'kri-kri' wild goats within a recognized national park. Guests will also be given the time and equipment to dive and see the sunken plane from the World War II.

11:30 AM -1 PM Time for Greek food cooking! A cooking class will be hosted just for you. Under the guidance of the chef, you will cook and prepare an all seafood menu and will learn how to create authentic dishes.

1 - 2 PM You will enjoy your efforts with a glass of wine and will have the opportunity to interact with your chef and share your cooking experience and recipes.

2 PM Departure from Agioi Theodoroi Island.

2:30 PM Arrival back to the beautiful Venetian harbor of Chania.

Menu includes the following:
Cretan salad with mizythra cheese
Saganaki with graviera cheese, sesame seeds, figs, and honey
Steam mussels with oyzo and fresh tomatoes
Fish in tomato sauce, olive oil, and peppers
Halva with Semolina, raisins, and walnuts

Excluded: Transfers and anything else not mentioned explicitly as included.

Note: Menu can be adjusted to special dietary restrictions; please let your host know in advance of any allergies and special dietary requirements. This tour runs for a min. of 8 participants - smaller group bookings are accepted until the minimum number of all participants is reached. In case the minimum number of participants is not met, you will be notified of a cancellation max. 24 hours before the event and will have the option to reschedule for another event or receive a full refund. 

Young travellers: Kids aged 12-16 y.o. €49 per child. Kids under the age of 12 can request a free meal. For health and safety reasons participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation Policy

Vendor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event for any reason, upon a 48 hour notification to guests who are entitled to either reschedule for another event or receive a full refund. If guests need to cancel their booking 48 hour or more prior to the event, guests have the option to reschedule for another event (within 3 months after the cancellation date) or receive a full refund. In the event of cancellation after in 47 hours or less before the cooking class, no refund and no option to reschedule to an alternative event. If participant is unable to attend a booked event they can transfer their place to another person upon written advice to the vendor with the name of the new attendee.
