Activity Description

One of the most unique and fun things to do close to Elounda, Agios Nikolaos and Plaka in East Crete, this 4x4 safari adventure and private boat combo will get you to the hot spots of the region from both sea and land! Your experienced guide will lead you to the mountains and valleys of the area where you will be able to grasp great views. You will be driven through small villages with old churches in the mountain, passing goats and sheep, in locations where time seems to have stopped a long time ago! In certain exquisite locations, you will get the chance to stop for some photos and see up close the old way of life. Then, driving down the mountains to the village of Plaka, your adventurous guides will sail you with speed boats to one of the most important landmarks of Greece, Spinalonga island (former leper colony). There, you will have plenty of time to wander around and discover this unique location. Last but not least, during this adventure you will spend some time in a state-of-the-art olive oil production farm to learn the basics of how olive oil is made.
Although this adventure tour is scheduled for a cross-over to Spinalonga island via speed boat, your extraordinary and professional guides will give the chance to the most adventurous to cross over by other means (e.g. canoe) instead, upon request.
