Description:
An unexpected and spontaneous modern art scene emerges in Athens. Your guide who has a relevant background (art, architecture, artist), will pick you up from your hotel for a 4 hours journey through the neighborhoods and the world of modern and contemporary art of Greece. Visual arts and paintings, installations and even street art and murals of various techniques will all come together to form what will serve as a glimpse into all types of modern art.
We'll start with a visit to the National Museum of Contemporary Art OR the Benaki Museum on Pireos St (depending on exhibitions at time of visit, to be determined) and continue with well-known galleries pivotal to the rise of modern Greek art, as well as independent art spaces and exhibitions at the Athens School of Fine Arts if time allows. We'll continue with some historic neighborhoods and as we stroll through the narrow streets, we'll stop for a refreshment break at a garden.

Day 3- Athens (suggested)

Day 4 - Crete

Private Hiking Trip from Chania

Description:

Starting point: Omalos plateau / Ending point: Sougia beach.

Distance: 25km – 9 hours trek – difficulty level: Hard

The trek starts at Xyloskalo – the starting point of the Samaria gorge, with amazing views over the gorge at an altitude of 1.200 meters. The path then ascends to the peak of ‘’Psylafi’’ – 2.000 meters and then goes through the Gre leska observatory before starting descending to Koustogerako village and ending in the south part of the island, the end of the Agia Irini gorge, 5 klm away from Sougia beach. Then you will have the option to stay overnight in Sougia beach and enjoy the following day on the beach OR return to Chania.

Price: Option 1) €530 total for day trip from/to Chania or for trip up to the ending point of the hike - Option 2) €650 total for full day hiking trip, including all transfers until return to Chania the next day.

Including: Option 1) Transfer Chania-Omalos (1 hour), Sougia-Chania (2 hours) + private mountain guide - Option 2) overnight stay of guide to Sougia, all transfers for 2 days with a local insider: Chania to Hiking point, End of hiking point to Hotel, Hotel to Beach (the next day), Beach to Hotel at your preferred time, Hotel to Airport (either straight or via other hotel location/stop in Chania town)
