Activity Description

Spend a half-day walking tour with a local agriculturalist. Discover the importance of Crete's aromatic plants in the island's tradition stemming from the ancient times, as mentioned in the texts of ancient authors who attributed to them exceptional therapeutic properties.
Learn about oregano (Origanum onites), basil (Ocimum basilicum L.), linden (Tilia cordate mill.), Marjoram (origanum majorana), thyme (thymus sibthorpibenth.), mint (mentha), rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis), laurel (laurus nobilis L.), chamomile (matricaria chamomillaL.), sage (salvia officinalis) and the remarkable Cretan plants such as dittany that grow in the steep mountains of the island, picked by experienced herbalists and dried in natural conditions for further use in teas, cooking and of course the Cretan cuisine.

Cancellation up to 15 days prior to activity date: 80% refundable; 14-7 days before the excursion: 50% refundable; 7-4 days before the excursion: 10% refundable; cancellation performed less than 4 days before the excursion, latecomers and no shows: no refund.
