Activity Description

Discover the secrets of Greek cuisine by learning how to make your own traditional Greek dishes! This unique experience will lead you through a culinary adventure full of colors, rich flavors and warm Greek hospitality. You will enjoy the perfect Greek meal in a convivial atmosphere and gain a new skill-set to take back in your own kitchen.
Your Greek food experience kicks off with a tour in the Athens' foodie 'Mecca': Athens' central food market (Varvakeios). There, you will be introduced to the best ingredients of the Greek cuisine: you will get the true feeling of the Greek land and all of its riches, wandering among colorful stalls of fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices, fish, meat and all kinds of the freshest food that Greece offers. 
Packed up with Greek goodies, you will visit a historic traditional restaurant where your gastronomic adventure will reach its peak. In a specially designed private space, you will go behind the scenes to explore the earthly magic of the Greek kitchen and will warm up with a shot of raki, right before you engage yourself in a hands-on cooking class of traditional Greek recipes.
You will get your hands dirty and will learn to prepare traditional Greek appetizers like tzatziki and 'tyropita' cheese pie; you will make your own authentic Greek salad and work on a specially selected main course always under the guidance of an expert chef. Last but not least, you will enjoy all your creations with homemade wine and great company and will leave with the perfect souvenir with all the recipes you worked on during this unique Greek food experience.
