Customer Reviews
"We did the Street Food Tour on May 1st because most everything else was closed in Athens. It was a fabulous way to learn about Greek food and culture in a small group (only 4 of us). Delicious food and lots of great insights. Our guide, Eleni, was fabulous! Lots of great info/food and gave us a real feel for Greece. Katia was also extremely helpful and responsive through the booking process." - Sheri B., USA
"The whole tour was informative and fun. We loved our guide, Elaine! It was the perfect end to our vacation! Our guide took us to four different places for tastes of authentic greek food and drink. Besides discussing food, she was also very knowledgeable on the history of Athens. She took us to markets and spice shops and down little alley streets with the most amazing graffiti we've ever seen. Our day concluded at a outdoor cafe with live musicians. The young people there started dancing around the cafe and eventually spilled into the streets dancing and accumulating more people to join them as they went. An amazing look at Greek life and a day we won't forget." - Susan M., USA
"This was a last minute booking for us. Due to Orthodox Easter, we struggled to find somewhere that could accommodate a tour for 11 people at short notice. Helen was an excellent guide. Clearly passionate about all things Athenian, and the food/drink stops we made we perfect. Her bagpipe performance at the end was a particular treat." - Lee S., UK
WHY WE LOVE IT
This tour is a dream come true! It's the only evening and Sunday food tour in Athens, when all other food tours stop because of closed stores and markets. The culinary adventure ends with a short sightseeing tour in Plaka, as an extra bonus.
