Activity Description

Enjoy half hour or one hour of stand up paddling inside in Varkiza, the largest organised sandy beach in Athens, about half hour from the centre of the city.

Activity is suitable for paddlers who own basic knowhow of the sport and who are confident to leave and return without rescue.

Spoken Language: English and Greek

Meeting Point: Varkiza area (instructions to be advised after booking)

Pace: Suitable to all paddlers confident to leave and return from shore without rescue. 

Included: Stand up paddle (sup) board.

Excluded: Entrance to the organized beach (for more information about entrance and opening/closing hours click here), transportation to/from meeting point, any food, drinks, sun-beds, umbrellas, lessons, activities and facilities not stated as included, rescue fees (see Cancellation Policy)

Note: Rentals are always subject to suitable weather conditions as determined by the experienced host 

Young Travellers:  Rentals are suitable for young travellers who own the basic knowhow of sup and who are able to leave and return from the shore without rescue. 

Cancellation Policy

Rentals are subject to suitable weather conditions, as determined by the experienced vendor. In case of cancellation due to weather conditions full refund is possible. Otherwise, full refund is only possible with a cancellation sent through email at least 24 hours in advance. Change of activity date may be accepted at host’s discretion. Confirmation of weather conditions is usually not possible prior to 24 hours of the activity. 

What happens in case of unsuitable weather (strong winds which make rental unsafe)?
In case you plan to visit the beach anyway, you can meet the host and check the weather conditions together. If the host deems that the weather is rough, based on his expert opinion, you may be allowed to rent the SUPs subject to the provision that in case a rescue is required (assistance to reach back the shore) you will be charged rescue fees (he will inform you accordingly). Please be advised that in the case of a rescue, you are not eligible for a refund and the cancellation policy listed here applies.
