Activity Description

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel with a minivan. He will drive around  30-40 minute to reach the foothills of Vrissinas mountain which is part of the Cretan mountains range. From there, you will visit the village of Chromonastiri amongst the hills, which will be the starting point of the guided hiking adventure.
You will walk through the village and its Venetian mansions, following the foot path downhill that will leasd you to the gorge of Milli. A pleasant hiking tour through the gorge will begin, most of the time under the shade of the trees. During the excursion, the experienced tour guide will talk about local stories and will highlight the secrets of Cretan flora and fauna.
After a 40 minute walk, you will reach the old abandoned village of Milli, where you will refresh in the café of the village, overlooking the gorge and the sea.
After the break, you will continue the hike for another 90 minutes, following a well-formed path through churches, ponds and ruined Venetian watermills from where the gorge takes its name.
At the exit of the Milli gorge, the vegetable 'bostani' garden will be waiting. After a quick tour at the vegetable garden, you will enjoy a full course meal prepared from the organic farm products.
By the end of this hiking tour through Rethymno's nature you will return to your hotel full of bright images and memories of a distinct aspect of Cretan nature and gastronomy.

Cancellation at least 5 days prior to scheduled program: 70% refund. Cancellation 2-4 days prior to booking date: 50% refund. Cancellation 48 hours prior to booking/no show: No refund.
