Activity Description

Learn about the unique produce of the Greek land as you discover mastiha, saffron and their uses in Greek cuisine. Taste the colourful and fascinating Greek salads together with delicious pies with sumptuous and interesting stuffings: artisanal cheese, olives, tomatos, red peppers and olive oil flavours right from the best sources in town!

What's more, during this walking tour your guide will cover theory (with practise!) on one of the most important Greek products, extra virgin olive oil! After a brief 'lesson', you will savour the typical Greek dish of "ladera" prepared with onion and fresh vegetables such as peas or artichokes, all cooked in olive oil. Your guide will also introduce you to the large chapter of the Greek vegetarian culture, through delicious veggie croquettes, wraps full of aromatic Greek flavours, traditional desserts such as yogurt with honey and the famous "spoon sweets" which are fruit preserves paired with liqueur and Greek coffee! A hearty food tour purely for vegetarians and Greek food enthusiasts that will definitely make you skip lunch!
